Disposal instructions

Disposal of electrical appliances

Waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) does not belong in household waste. Consumers are legally obligated to dispose of electrical and electronic equipment separately from unsorted municipal waste. This is indicated by the symbol of a crossed-out wheeled bin.

You can return old appliances free of charge to municipal collection points (e.g., recycling centers) or to take-back points at retailers. Appliances with an edge length of less than 25 cm can be returned there even without purchasing a new one. Further return points can be found at www.take-e-back.de .

Disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. They contain valuable resources as well as hazardous substances and must be collected separately. Used batteries can be returned free of charge wherever batteries are sold, as well as at municipal collection points.

Batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the chemical symbols Cd (cadmium), Hg (mercury) or Pb (lead).

Further information can be found at www.batterie-zurueck.de .

Important note before return

  • Before handing in old devices, please remove all batteries or rechargeable batteries, provided they can be removed without damage, and dispose of them separately.
  • Consumers are obligated to delete personal data on electrical devices on their own responsibility.
