Guide
Which BBQ thermometer is right for you?
With a meat thermometer, you measure the core temperature of meat, fish and poultry – the only reliable way to tell whether a piece is rare, medium or well done. ADE offers digital meat thermometers with a cable probe, preset doneness levels and alarm, a fast digital kitchen thermometer for inserting into food, and a mechanical meat thermometer that works entirely without a battery.

Grilling & Smoking
For steaks, pulled pork or ribs: a digital meat thermometer with a 1 m long, heat-resistant cable probe stays in the meat while it cooks. The display stays outside the grill – the alarm sounds as soon as the target temperature is reached.

Two pieces at once
One steak medium, one well done? The meat thermometer with two probes shows both core temperatures at the same time – ideal for different types of meat or levels of doneness on the grill and in the oven.

Quick check
For a quick check in between: the digital kitchen thermometer with an extra-fine stainless steel tip shows the temperature in seconds – even for baked goods, caramel, chocolate or baby food.

Classic in the oven
The mechanical meat thermometer needs no battery, stays in the oven while roasting and shows core and oven temperature. The scale indicates the right doneness points for beef, pork, veal, lamb and chicken.

Why do I need a meat thermometer?
Whether a piece of meat is rare, medium or well done is hard to tell from the outside. A meat thermometer measures the core temperature inside – so steak, roasts, poultry and fish turn out reliably just right.
Instant-read thermometer or thermometer with cable probe?
An instant-read thermometer like our digital kitchen thermometer takes a quick reading in between and is then pulled out again. A thermometer with a cable probe stays in the meat throughout cooking, the display sits outside the grill or oven and an alarm tells you when the target temperature is reached.
Can I use the thermometers in the oven or air fryer?
Yes. On the digital meat thermometers with cable probe (BBQ2501, BBQ2502), the probe and cable are heat-resistant up to 380 °C, while the display stays outside. The mechanical meat thermometer (BBQ1801) stays completely inside the oven – its housing is heat-resistant up to 300 °C.
Do I need to know the right core temperature myself?
No. Our digital meat thermometers have meat types and doneness levels already preset – for example, you select beef and medium, and the thermometer knows the matching target temperature. You can also set your own temperatures freely.
Do the thermometers need batteries?
The digital models run on a battery, which is already included. The mechanical meat thermometer works entirely without a battery.
