Guide
Which kitchen scale is right for you?
A digital kitchen scale ensures the right quantities when baking and cooking – with the tare function, you can weigh several ingredients one after the other in a single bowl. ADE offers kitchen scales with a capacity of 5 to 20 kg and 1 g graduation, extra-flat models, a scale rechargeable via USB-C, a dual scale with integrated precision scale and a measuring cup scale. For the smallest quantities, there are spoon, precision and pocket scales with 0.1 or 0.01 g graduation.

Which kitchen scale is the right one for me?
For everyday cooking and baking, scales with a 5 kg capacity and 1 g graduation are the right choice, such as the Julia, Cleo or Leonie models. For large quantities, there are scales up to 10 kg and 15 kg, and the Bridget scale holds up to 20 kg. If you often weigh small amounts such as yeast or spices, a 0.1 g graduation helps – for example on the dual kitchen scale or the spoon scale.
What do tare and the add-and-weigh function mean?
With the tare button, you reset the display to zero, for example after placing the empty bowl on the scale. This way you weigh only the contents and can add several ingredients one after another to the same container. All digital scales in this category have this function.
Can I also measure liquids with the kitchen scale?
Yes. Many models also show the weight in ml, for example the Julia and Cleo scales or the kitchen scale with USB-C. The measuring jug scale combines a scale and a 1 l measuring jug with a scale marked in 50 ml increments.
Do the kitchen scales need batteries?
The digital kitchen scale with USB-C has a rechargeable battery that you charge with a USB-C cable – you can even weigh while it is charging. Depending on the scale, the other models run on AAA batteries or button cells. Many models come with batteries included, and a battery level indicator shows you when a replacement is needed.
What do I need a precision or pocket scale for?
Precision and pocket scales weigh the smallest amounts in 0.1 g or 0.01 g increments, such as spices, herbs, powders or jewelry. The Paul precision scale holds up to 300 g with 0.1 g graduation, and the Fred pocket scale weighs accurately to 0.01 g. On both, the protective cover also serves as a weighing tray.
